News — Eisenstein's Academy

It is with great excitement that I am able to share with you that my instructor of 31 years, Grandmaster Connelly, will be present at our December 16th Black Belt Promotion Test. This test marks a particularly important moment for me in my training as my highest ranking student, Grace Sternberger, will be testing for her 4th Degree black belt. This is the official rank of Instructor and happens to be the rank Grandmaster Connelly was when I began training at 6 years old.

If you are able to attend the December 16th Black Belt Promotion Test, please do so. Not only will you get to support Grace and all of the other black belts who will be testing, but it is an incredible opportunity to meet an incredible man and martial artist in Grandmaster Connelly.

Welcome to Eisenstein’s Academy’s first website! This has been many years in the making and is far from “finished.” Web design is about as far outside of my comfort zone as you can get and it has taken a great deal of time, perseverance and dedication to see this come to life. But, that is what having a Taekwon-Do spirit is all about, isn’t it? We tackle things, whatever they may be, no matter how much they intimidate us, and we continue to try our best without fail.

In light of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to publish my website now, before every last bell and whistle I envision for the site is complete. I want my students to have a place where they can go to practice their forms, see a video of me performing the forms, or to learn a little more about their favorite assistant instructor. These are strange times and no one knows when things will return to “normal.” Please know I will do everything in my power to help my students be able to continue their training while keeping everyone safe and healthy.
